My Story
Built This Out of Necessity. Stayed for the Mission.
I graduated from a coding bootcamp in 2023 — right into one of the worst job markets for tech in years. While my classmates were mass-applying and waiting, I was working the butcher counter at a grocery store to keep the lights on. My daughter had just been born. I had a family counting on me and a laptop I'd code on after every shift.
I'm not telling you this for sympathy. I'm telling you because I know what it's like to work hard and still feel invisible. To do everything right and wonder why it's not breaking through.
